Legislative Update

This year’s Florida legislative session is turning out to be very challenging. Faced with a 3.2 billion dollar shortfall priorities will have to be established and tough decisions will have to be made to balance our budget. Public safety, education, government efficiency, economic development, helping Floridians go back to work and improving human services for our most vulnerable citizens are some of my top priorities.

I have created an interactive website that serves as a way for us to provide you access to additional information to help keep you informed and to provide an easy way for your feedback on issues being addressed.

Five of the issues that I am sponsoring legislation for are on the website and have a short (four or fewer) questionnaire that I encourage you to review and take a moment to share your thoughts and concerns so that I can better represent you in Tallahassee.

I would appreciate your thoughts on the above issues, please take a moment and complete their short questionnaires. Your responses will help in the facilitation of the legislative process. In addition please feel free to forward this email to your friends and neighbors and encourage them to share their thoughts as well.

Thank you for allowing me to serve you in the Florida Senate. I will be leaving the State Senate in November and look forward to working with you during my last legislative session.

Thank you again,

Senator Victor Crist
Florida State Senate, District 12
